Limpopo is South Africa's northernmost province — a vast, wild region that borders Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Mozambique. It's home to the remote northern section of Kruger National Park, where fewer visitors mean more exclusive game viewing.

May to September is the dry season — the best time for game viewing as vegetation thins. The Waterberg is malaria-free year-round. Avoid the hot, wet summer (November–March) for most activities.
Getting There
Polokwane International Airport (PTG) has flights from Johannesburg. Most visitors to northern Kruger drive from Johannesburg (5–6 hours) or fly to Phalaborwa Airport (PHW) for the central Kruger gates.
